Containers

Containers with all sorts of colourful plants and mix with some evergreens that will continue after the annuals have died away.  It’s usually a good idea to change the potting compost each year, but if the containers are really large, the top 8-10” can be removed and any roots left can be teased out. Fork over then add a layer of fresh potting compost, working it into the older mix. Give the whole a good watering of diluted liquid fertiliser and let it settle overnight before replanting. Continue to feed containers every few weeks to keep plants healthy.
